Meet DorothyDorothy Marshall is an advocate for small businesses in Colorado. As an owner of a small business, Dorothy understands first hand the day-to-day trials that small business owners face. She will work to ensure that Colorado continues to foster a successful and productive climate for business. She will endorse legislation that supports Colorado's entrepreneurial backbone. Dorothy and her family moved to Colorado in 1987. In 1991, she and her husband started an independent insurance brokerage, David A. Marshall and Associates Inc. Their Agency has grown to become one of Colorado's leading independent employee benefits companies. Dorothy has also served as a member for the Colorado Insurance Commissioner's Producer Advisory, Superior Chamber of Commerce, Boulder Chamber of Commerce, Boulder Shrine Club, the American Diabetes Association, Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO), and Zonta, an organization that works towards the advancement of women worldwide. She is also a longtime church member and helps out in many areas whenever she can. Dorothy has spent much of her time devoted to her company, healthcare issues, and various organizations. Dorothy's most cherished roles are as a wife, mother, and grandmother. Dorothy has four successful children, two of which attended Boulder High School, and four amazing grandchildren. She and David currently reside in Gunbarrel with their dog Chipper and have been married for nearly 35 years. As your Representative for Boulder County, Dorothy will work to prioritize Colorado's needs and support those projects within the budget. |
